I can relate to the headlines on flooding. I know of an office that lies in a funnel of sorts of two roads that intersect. During heavy rains, it's where all the water rushes to. It's no wonder that establishments there have their entryways blocked with low concrete walls that you have to step over to get to the other side. It takes about thirty minutes for the flood to subside after a brief torrential downpour, but it takes longer and water levels are higher during storms, which seem to be getting stronger and out of season lately, most likely due to global warming.
